Gate Valves

Gate valves provide a straightforward on/off control mechanism by raising or lowering a gate within the valve body. They are widely used in applications requiring minimal pressure drop and a tight shutoff but are not suited for throttling.

Material Options:

  • Brass – Corrosion-resistant, often used in plumbing and potable water applications.
  • Cast Iron – Durable and cost-effective, ideal for waterworks, irrigation, and industrial applications.
  • PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) – Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, used in chemical processing, water treatment, and irrigation.
  • Bronze – Commonly used in marine and potable water systems due to high corrosion resistance.
  • Stainless Steel – Suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature applications in chemical and food industries.

Key Features:
✔ Full-port design for minimal flow restriction
✔ Available in rising and non-rising stem configurations
✔ Various sizes and pressure ratings for different applications

Swing Check Valves

Swing check valves allow one-way flow and prevent backflow using a swinging disc that opens when fluid flows forward and closes when it reverses. These are essential for preventing reverse flow damage in pipelines.

Material Options:

  • Brass – Ideal for low-pressure plumbing and potable water applications.
  • Cast Iron – Commonly used in water supply and wastewater applications due to durability.
  • PVC – Lightweight and chemical-resistant, often used in pool, irrigation, and chemical applications.
  • Ductile Iron – Stronger than cast iron and commonly used in high-pressure water distribution.
  • Stainless Steel – Used in industries requiring high corrosion resistance, such as food processing and pharmaceuticals.

Key Features:
✔ Prevents backflow to protect pumps and piping systems
✔ Can be installed in horizontal and vertical positions
✔ Low maintenance, simple operation

Ball Valves

Ball valves use a rotating ball with a bore to control fluid flow. They provide fast shutoff, tight sealing, and durability, making them ideal for a wide range of industries.

Material Options:

  • Brass – Corrosion-resistant and commonly used in plumbing, HVAC, and gas applications.
  • Cast Iron – Durable and cost-effective for large-scale industrial water systems.
  • PVC – Chemical-resistant and lightweight, often used in water treatment, aquariums, and irrigation.
  • Stainless Steel – Highly durable, used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
  • Carbon Steel – Strong and widely used in oil and gas pipelines.

Key Features:
✔ Quarter-turn operation for quick shutoff
✔ Low torque, easy to automate
✔ Full-port and reduced-port options available
